GRANTED

May 5, 2008

Dear Tom,

Congratulations! On behalf of all of us at the National Taxpayers Union (NTU), I’m pleased to offer you a “Standing Together” grant of $4,000 in order to further your efforts to launch and expand the Missouri Liberty Coalition. The taxpayers of your state will now look to you to amplify the low-tax, limited-government message with public officials and the media.

Because NTU has a solemn commitment to our donors to use available resources in the most responsible and effective manner, we’re disbursing the grant amount to you as outlined in the attached document. We hope you concur that it is a reasonable agreement for moving forward, but we are willing to consider amendments to this plan should special circumstances warrant them. Please contact Kristina Rasmussen, NTU Director of Government Affairs, at (703) 683-5700 or krasmussen@ntu.org to discuss arrangements.

Once we receive a copy of the signed Action Agreement, we will send you the first check via surface mail. We will also send you a copy of our “how-to” guide on building a successful taxpayer organization. Information about complimentary admission to the 2009 National Taxpayers Conference hosted by the National Taxpayers Union Foundation will follow in early 2009.

NTU’s Communication Department is willing to work with you on a strategic media “roll out” of your organization (e.g., a press release announcement). You are welcome to contact Natasha Altamirano, NTU Communications Manager, at (703) 683-5700 or naltamirano@ntu.org, in this regard.

If you are interested in obtaining a copy of our mailing list in your state under a one-time use agreement, please contact Doug Frank, NTU Vice President of Membership and Administration, at (703) 683-5700 or dfrank@ntu.org.

We look forward to working with you in adding the Missouri Liberty Coalition to the ever-growing chorus of voices calling for fiscal responsibility.

Sincerely,
