As for the meeting today - where to start? The 106 review process is one conducted by a Federal agency in cooperation with the SHPO and those entities which have been granted consulting party status by the Federal Agency, in this case TCLF and NTHP. Regarding the process itself, I refer you to http://achp.gov/work106.html where there are many .pdf brochures with a LOT of information in much more detail than I could go into. Today the meeting is scheduled to take place at 10:30 Central Time and NTHP & TCLF representatives will be participating via video conference from the Federal Highway Administration Building here in DC. It could last anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, and it would be highly unusual for a determination to be made on the spot.
I am happy to provide as much information as I can, but I cannot speak for Mr. Birnbaum nor in an official capacity for TCLF.
